Work Permit

The official government authorization allowing a foreign national to legally work for a specific employer in Saudi Arabia.

A work permit in Saudi Arabia is the government authorization — embedded within the work visa and Iqama — that grants a foreign national the legal right to work in the Kingdom for a specific employer in a specific professional category. Work permits are tied to the employer's block visa allocation and must fall within the permitted Nitaqat quota. Profession codes on work permits must match actual duties. Unauthorized work — working for an employer other than the sponsor without a formal sponsorship transfer — is a serious violation subject to fines, deportation and employer penalties. Inclusive Solutions manages work permit applications and renewals as part of its visa and Iqama services.
