Iqama (Residency Permit)

Iqama (Residency Permit)

The official residency permit issued to expatriate workers in Saudi Arabia allowing them to legally live and work in the Kingdom.

The Iqama is the legal residency identification card issued to all non-Saudi nationals legally residing in the Kingdom. It must be carried at all times and includes the holder's name, nationality, profession code, sponsor details and expiry date. Iqamas must be renewed annually and the employer is legally responsible for renewal costs. An expired Iqama is an immediate violation subject to fines, deportation and employer penalties. Profession codes on the Iqama must match actual job duties — mismatches can result in labor disputes and MHRSD investigations. Inclusive Solutions manages the full Iqama lifecycle from issuance through renewal and cancellation.
