Saudi Labor Law
An employee representative body required in Saudi companies with 100 or more workers under Saudi Labor Law.
Works Committees are the closest equivalent to employee representation bodies in Saudi Arabia's private sector. Under Saudi Labor Law, companies with 100 or more employees must establish a Works Committee comprising elected employee representatives. Works Committees are entitled to discuss working conditions, safety, benefits and employee welfare matters with management and can raise grievances on behalf of the workforce. They are not trade unions and cannot engage in collective bargaining in the Western sense. However, they provide a formal channel for employee-employer communication. Inclusive Solutions advises on Works Committee establishment and management as part of its HR governance services.
