Part-Time Work

Employment arrangements where employees work fewer than standard hours with proportional rights under Saudi Labor Law.

Part-time employment in Saudi Arabia is recognized and regulated under Saudi Labor Law. Part-time employees are entitled to proportional rights and benefits based on the number of hours worked relative to full-time standards — including annual leave, GOSI registration, WPS-compliant salary payments and EOSB. Part-time employment has been encouraged as part of Vision 2030's goals to increase female workforce participation and provide flexible employment pathways for Saudi nationals. Employers must ensure that part-time contracts are properly structured, attested on Qiwa and that proportional benefit calculations are accurately maintained.
