Mandatory health coverage that Saudi employers must provide to all employees and their eligible dependents.

Medical insurance is a mandatory benefit for all employees in Saudi Arabia governed by the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI). Employers are legally required to provide approved health insurance coverage to all employees and are strongly recommended to extend coverage to dependents. Insurance plans must be from CCHI-approved providers and must meet minimum coverage standards. Non-compliance with health insurance requirements can result in fines and restrictions on Iqama issuance and renewal.
