Maternity Leave

Paid leave entitlement for female employees before and after childbirth under Saudi Labor Law.

Under Saudi Labor Law, female employees are entitled to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave — 4 weeks before the expected delivery date and 6 weeks after childbirth. In cases of illness resulting from pregnancy or delivery, the employee may extend her leave by up to 4 additional weeks (unpaid). Employers are prohibited from terminating a female employee during maternity leave. Breastfeeding entitlements under Saudi Labor Law allow nursing mothers one or two breaks per day of at least one hour each for up to 12 months after delivery. Inclusive Solutions ensures maternity leave policies are correctly implemented and documented.
