HR Policy

HR Policy

A formal written statement that defines rules expectations and procedures governing employment within an organization in Saudi Arabia.

HR policies are the documented rules and procedures that govern how an organization manages its workforce. In Saudi Arabia, HR policies must be aligned with Saudi Labor Law (Royal Decree M/51) and applicable Ministry of Human Resources regulations. Key policy areas include attendance and leave management, disciplinary procedures, workplace harassment prevention, compensation and benefits and employee code of conduct. HR policies must be written in Arabic (or bilingual Arabic-English) and acknowledged by employees in writing. Outdated or non-compliant HR policies are a common compliance risk found during HR audits.
