Saudi Arabia's mandatory social insurance system covering occupational hazards and retirement benefits for all employees.
GOSI — General Organization for Social Insurance — administers Saudi Arabia's mandatory social insurance program. All private sector employees including expatriates must be registered with GOSI. Saudi national employees contribute 10% of basic salary plus housing allowance toward retirement and disability benefits while employers contribute 12%. Expatriate employees are covered only for occupational hazards with a 2% employer contribution. Monthly GOSI contributions must be submitted by the 15th of each month. Failure to register employees or make timely contributions results in penalties and affects the company's compliance status on Qiwa and Absher.
